Season Kickoff Party

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage month with UnidosNow and The Ringling at the third annual NocheUnidos, a collaboration between The Ringling and UnidosNow. This elegant evening, held in the magical Museum of Art Courtyard, features dining, dancing, music, and fellowship that honor the rich and dynamic cultures that have influenced our Gulf Coast community, including the African diaspora, Indigenous America, and Europe. The event kicks off with festive Puerto Rican rhythms from Bomba Yemayá and parades into the night with an upbeat Mardi Gras spirit captured by the New Orleans-based 79rs Gang. Dress in white to call in the season with elegancia as we come together to honor unity and the riches of our region.

Celebren el mes de la Herencia Hispana con UnidosNow y The Ringling en el tercer concierto anual de NocheUnidos, una colaboración entre The Ringling y UnidosNow. Esta elegante velada, que tendrá lugar en el mágico patio del Museo de Arte, contará con cena, bailes, música y hermandad, honrando las ricas y dinámicas culturas que han influido a nuestra comunidad de la Costa del Golfo, incluida la diáspora africana, la América indígena y Europa. 7:30 PM Entry | General Admission | $45 Adults | $10 Students with Current ID General Admission Tickets >

General Admission includes a 7:30 PM entry time and does not include seating. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Members will save 10% on General Admission tickets.

Bomba Yemayá 

The company is a leading bomba performance group from the island’s rich cultural heritage. Bomba is an emblematic Puerto Rican musical genre that emerged 400 years ago from the colonial plantations where West African enslaved people and their descendants worked. It remains one of the most popular forms of folk music on the island and serves as significant evidence of its rich African influences.

La compañía es un grupo líder en la interpretación de la bomba, fruto del rico patrimonio cultural de la isla. Bomba es un género musical puertorriqueño emblemático que surgió hace 400 años de las plantaciones coloniales donde trabajaban los esclavos de África Occidental y sus descendientes. Sigue siendo una de las formas de música folclórica más populares de la isla y constituye una prueba significativa de sus ricas influencias africanas.

The 79rs Gang 

The 79rs Gang is led by musicians Jermaine Bossier and Romeo Bougere, the Big Chiefs of two rival Mardi Gras Indian tribes, the 7th Ward and the 9th, both municipalities and cultural communities of greater New Orleans. These young talents interweave traditional Mardi Gras rhythms with vibrant contemporary hip-hop styling and sophisticated lyrics. Their fresh takes on timeless themes fuse together funky hits, traditional Mardi Gras sounds, and Carnaval celebration energy.

La 79rs Gang está dirigida por los músicos Jermaine Bossier y Romeo Bougere, los Grandes Jefes de dos tribus indias rivales del Mardi Gras, el 7th Ward y el 9th, ambas municipios y comunidades culturales de la gran Nueva Orleans. Estos jóvenes talentos entrelazan los ritmos tradicionales del Mardi Gras con un estilo vibrante de hip-hop contemporáneo y letras sofisticadas. Sus nuevas versiones de temas atemporales fusionan éxitos funky, sonidos tradicionales de Mardi Gras y la energía de la celebración del Carnaval.
